Challelnge #107- "In the Garden"

Now that Spring is finally here, let's focus on the garden.  The theme allows for numerous images.  You can enter something pertaining to preparing the garden, the results of having a garden like veggies and flowers, or you can enter a garden atmosphere.

Let's see what the Design Team has prepared for you.

I chose this garden image from Stitchey Bear Stamps of a watering can and work gloves.  After the image was colored with Copic markers, I placed it on top of some flower stickers.  The card is simple but effective as it plays up the image and makes it pop.

As some of us welcome spring a lot of folks are thinking about getting in the garden.  My first DT piece features a digital image graciously provided by our challenge sponsor Stitchy Bear Stamps, the digital image was created by artist BB Kakes.  I printed the digital image onto one of the Victorian Garden digital designer papers by Gecko Galz and then colored it with pencils.  I cut that out and arranged it on card stock, adding brightly colored laces and a butterfly. I hope you will play along!

I love Spring. It's a vibrant season and as Ralph Waldo Emerson said "Earth laughs in flowers".Here is still Summer and it is the hottest we have ever faced. Spring reminds me of gardens which is our new challenge. For our first week, I chose an image called Beary Happy Bloom kindly supplied by our sponsor Stitchy Bear. I colored it with pencils and layered it onto two scrapbook papers. Then I added a blue lace, some pearls, a butterfy and an adorable sentiment which expresses what I think of gardens: they are wonderful. Hope you play along with us!  Have a magical week

For my card I used the Stitchy Bear Outlet stamps BB Kakes 'garden me' digital image kindly provided by the sponsor, colouring with Chameleon pens. Easter papers and ribbons saved from a couple of years ago.

For the first week of the challenge In the Garden I chose Beart Happy Bloom from Kaz Kraftz. I thought it would make a really cute Hello or feel better card. Coloured with copics and cut with spellbinders oval dies, the patterned paper was just loose in the paper file and I have no idea where it was from but it matched perfect. Finished with Hello punched with the oval punches and three rhinestones to fill in the empty space. I hope you can join us for the In the Garden challenge.
